The New Orleans World War II Museum is at our doorstep here in NOLA, but is out of reach, financially for many scholars. Because they study World War II their junior year, a trip to the museum will help this history come to life. Seeing the tanks and weapons used on the actual battlefields and oceans in World War II will enthrall my scholars and reading about the soldiers and nurses that fought so relentlessly will inspire them. Scholars will be able to learn about the military tactics, the way civilians worked to keep the war moving smoothly, and the sacrifices many made to win the war.
