My students need a class set of the historical fiction novel Fever to integrate our literacy and social studies units. We will be using the novel Fever 1793 to help students integrate lessons from Social Studies and Literacy. Our literacy unit this quarter is realistic fiction. We will be studying US History through the founding of our country during the time frame when we read this book. Students will be reading this novel and researching topics covered in the novel to check for accuracy and learn about the historic events discussed in the book. Students will also be creating their own historic fiction story by researching facts to include in their own writing. We will be exploring this time in social studies as well, so all elements of this lesson will be integrated between the subjects. Thank you for your support!
