My kindergarten students are brilliant, bright eyed, and ready to learn every day. The school I teach at is very low income and all students receive free breakfast and lunch. I have two homeless kids in my class and most of the children are unable to bring classroom necessities including pencils. Although poverty is a part of these children's lives it does not define who they are and I want to provide them with an amazing and fun education. Lots of my students come from single family homes, foster homes, and are being raised by older siblings. Often times while working independently with a student he or she will call me "Mom" and they will quickly apologize and call me "Miss B." These children are the future and the brighter they become, the brighter the world becomes! I want the best for each and every one of them.
