My students are inner city students who are still learning how citizens contribute to the world respectfully, responsibly, safely and creatively. I teach at a Title 1 school where all of my students receive free lunch. Many of my students haven't traveled outside of our city and have a hard time connecting to the world outside of our city. They all love school and they are excited to attend school daily to see what books I will take them on adventures with and what wonderful authors will help them get a glimpse into the world around them.
