The students in my school are very motivated to learn. They come with experiences and knowledge about the topics that interest them. They are very used to technology in their homes and in their previous schools. My school is a start up charter school with a beautiful vision containing many components. Some important pieces of the mission are to provide the following; language immersion offered in 3 different languages, constructivist teaching practices, project based learning, readers and writers workshop, and community building. These components are what brought me to this school. However, the students are lacking a computer lab and any technology in the classrooms. Technology is a necessity to meet the school's vision on a day to day basis and to maximize learning for each student.
