Our students love reading, but most of them are only exposed to written text at school. Since beginning teaching, we have been working to build our classroom libraries. We try to get books on our students reading levels as well as their interest levels. We believe finding out students' interests will help them all develop a love of reading. We are seeking donations to help get sets of books for our small-group reading times. We have recently read The Boxcar Children and Stone Fox. Our students loved doing these novel studies in our small groups, but our resources are limited when it comes to sets of books. We would love to be able to get some more sets to keep fostering a love of reading in our classrooms!
