General Music is offered to all students in First through Eighth grade. When students enter in first grade, they are eager to sing, dance, move, and play instruments. By the time they exit my class in eighth grade, they have played the recorder, piano, guitar, can read music, and appreciate many genres of music. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity and privilege of teaching students for eight years, and to see them mature and grow not only as musicians, but people as well. As soon as any student gets their hands on an instrument, it is exciting and hard to put down. I feel like for my students in particular have an even greater appreciation and attachment to such instruments. My curriculum gives them the foundation to become the best musicians they can possibly be!
