Our school is a suburban school that is located outside of Philadelphia, PA. Our school serves students from first to eighth grade. These students come from low income families and go through many hardships in their home life. In addition, they are not exposed to the materials and skills that are necessary to become successful 21st century learners. I am a firm believer that education needs to prepare students socially, emotionally and academically for the future beyond the classroom walls.
