Our school is comprised of about 530 students. My students love to be engaged, and are enthusiastic about learning! Though my students are only interested in one genre or two, they are capable of learning so much more! My Project- We are in need of more boomwhackers! This purchase will allow each budding musician to have their own instrument, and the opportunity to play together as an ensemble. "Whacked on Classics " will allow our students to become familiar with the compositions of some of the great composers such as Bach, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky. Students will also use the boom whackers to learn the I, IV, V, V7, chords, and the 12 Bar Blues Progression. The goal is that students will learn how to "create" music as well as play it.
