I am a 6th grade teacher at Truman School in New Haven, CT. Though I am certified to teach all subjects, for the past several years I have focused only on teaching Reading, Writing and Enrichment. Most years, I teacher upwards of 50 students as I have a homeroom of 27 students, but also teach my grade partner's class as well. My students are hard-working and eager to learn. They come from many different backgrounds and situations. They were very excited to hear that I had joined Donor's Choose and can't wait to share their projects here. We also have a high population of English Language learners. In order to keep up with state and district testing, all of which is done on-line, I try to expose my students to as much technology as possible. Many of our projects and regular classroom assignments are done on-line with the use of Google Classroom and Google Drive.
