I'm constantly humbled by the level of compassion my students display towards each other. The students foster a great deal of care towards our special education population, military families and those suffering from economic hardship. The students run an annual charity drive raising a large amount of money for a different non-profit organization each year. Through this example, individual students take initiative over causes close to their hearts. They organize themselves through school channels and begin their helping, healing hand. They are dynamic, empathetic, self-starters working on their critical thinking yet still need a push in the right direction or a shoulder to lean on. I am honored to be their teacher. We are a liberal public high school focusing on creating an environment where students have the opportunity to explore a variety of academic classes and extra-curricular sports, clubs and organizations. We have a diverse demographic ethically, religiously and economically
