My students have a desire for knowledge. They are 2nd graders with inquisitive minds. Many of our students receive free lunch and do not have Internet access at home. We have a diverse population of students with a variety of backgrounds and cultures. My students need access to the internet because they do not have computers in their homes. In order to succeed in school, they need to have equal access to our ever changing technology. My class works hard and deserves to be able to research their family trees, history of their ancestors, and rich diverse heritages. It is important for my kids to feel loved and have pride in who they are and know where they come from. They need peer acceptance. They need friendship and healthy socialization. They have a strong desire to be a part of something bigger than the classroom. My students are future leaders of America and want to make a difference for the better in life.
