My students comprise a smaller school (200 students) within a larger school (4000 students). Each of my students entered our program because they plan on attending a college or university once graduating high school. All the students are self selected and mirror the demographics of the greater school. Roughly 60% of the students will be the first in their families to pursue an education after high school. They are enthusiastic about being successful but all of them haven't discovered it in board lectures and notes found in traditional classrooms. My classroom is becoming more and more dynamic through presentations, discovery, and collaborative learning.
