My students first and foremost are great kids. They are energetic, upbeat, and positive. They put the effort they need to succeed in the classroom, with the resources they have, that we have. Our last overhead projector broke, and we do not have the funds to fix it. They were able to focus on learning, but they deserve more, they deserve better. Our school has enrolled over 700 students where 80% are enrolled in free or reduced lunch due to income levels. Most students do not have computer access as home as well. Our classrooms do not have computer access within, and lack televisions for educational content. I can say as their teacher, my students want to learn, and want to strive. We cannot ignore that we live in an age where technology is the forefront of education. Our students live and breathe technology, and bringing that interest into the classroom can truly help their education become fun!
