The students at my school are amazing, curious, and outgoing problem-solvers. They seek to improve and impress and they realize that they are preparing themselves to do great things when they go out into the world. Our school is a T-STEM academy and I teach the E at our school - Engineering. We know there is a push for STEM in our country in order to build up our workforce in those areas. We push STEM and Project Based Learning in ALL subjects in order to give students real-world examples of where they're going to use the things they are learning in class. Our students are required to do one project on their own outside of school each year that is STEM related and showcase it in major Science Fairs, STEM Festivals, etc... Our students are not able to graduate until they get accepted into a four-year university and we make sure to guide them through the process and give them a strong base before they leave us.
