These students are a diverse population of middle school aged children. Gifted and talented students in general are a challenging group of students to teach because of their curiosity, and their need to know more. They pick up on things very quickly, and often need specialized materials in order to foster their learning. Because they learn quickly, they are ready to move past acquiring knowledge to the application and synthesis of knowledge. The books we read, the conversations we have and the projects that we complete are all on a level that is better suited for their needs.

About my class
