The students who come to my science lab each week are enthusiastic and excited about learning about science through hands-on investigations. Most of my students are second language learners and 100 percent are in the Title One program. Most of the students lack background knowledge in the area of science and do not have access to materials to explore scientific concepts. Through the use of hands-on activities the students will build background knowledge and gain experience in the field of science which is crucial to understanding how the world and the universe works.
