Our students need assistive technology to help them learn a variety of skills. Research has proven that touch screen technology can improve, not only academic skills, such as reading, writing and math, but this technology also improves student’s learning in communication and social skills. While our students are identified with varying exceptionalities, the one universal disability is LANGUAGE. This touch screen technology can provide our pre-k students with an unlimited amount of applications and activities that can be tailored to suit each student’s individual learning needs. In addition, the iPad will assist our tiny learners with an interactive learning experience that exercises not just their mind but also their fine motor strength that will improve their writing and self-help skills. This technology will help instill fundamental skills that are essential to being a successful and independent learner! Your donation will make a HUGE impact on our pre-kindergarten students. Together, we can provide our tiniest learners with the positive learning experience they will need to achieve their individual goals and overcome their challenges!
