The Student Support Center is an inclusion and self-contained program designed for kindergarten and elementary school students with social/emotional disabilities. Some students within this program are valued members of their regular education classrooms, others are full-time members of the SSC. Our goal is to address their social and emotional needs and their effect on academics in order to foster success in their educational setting. The Student Support Center has a low student-to-staff ratio to ensure that students receive preventative and therapeutic support in order to socialize appropriately with peers and build peer relationships. Each student in the Student Support Center is seen as having unique learning styles, needs and strengths.
