I would like to expand our schools' chess club and invite our third graders for the coming school year. My problem is I don't have enough chess boards. Having ten or more boards would allow me to accept more students in our club. Students would now have the opportunity to practice without having to wait for partners to complete their game. Having enough chess boards would also give everyone the same amount of time to practice. Oh, how wonderful it would be to observe everyone playing at the same time! In previous club meetings, we start off at the table where I model a special move on a chess board. Having a teacher demonstration board would allow students to gather on the carpet for a ​class demonstration. This large visual would help everyone to see the demonstration better. In addition, I would use this board to reteach rules and tactics to individuals as needed.
