Our school is a high poverty school. My students have many obstacles that can cause learning to be difficult. When we come together to read it gives them a chance to the real world and go to another place. It takes away their troubles for a short while. The majority of boys in my room and have been so excited to see that I have chosen a book series that my boys are very interested in. One of my greatest challenges as a teacher is making sure I can actively engage the boys in my room. We started the school year reading the first Harry Potter book and my class could not get enough. The question asked on a daily bases was, "Is it time for Harry Potter?"
