My students LOVE school! They especially LOVE the day that they come to Discovery (their Gifted class)... I know because they tell me ALL the time. I try to never miss a day of work and I also try to bring fun, hands on experiences to them. We've dissected a sheep's brain, a pig's brain, a cow's heart, and done countless science experiments. This year, my fifth graders have asked for a "tech-focused" class and I've been trying to deliver. We've run into some challenges though because the school laptops are not always available since other teachers request the laptops as well and there are simply not enough carts to go around. We'd like at least one laptop all to ourselves so we will KNOW that (even though we'll have to take turns) we can work on our projects without wondering if there will be any laptops available for checkout from the Media Center on our Discovery day.
