One important factor in a successful classroom is the use of small centers. This rectangular rug and bean bag chairs will join a library cart in an area of the classroom where students can relax and read their favorite books. Students sit at desks and tables throughout the day, and this reading nook will give students a change of "scenery" within the classroom. A majority of students love to sit on the floor to read and even work on clipboards. By having the rug and bean bags, it will allow student to sit comfortably while completing their assignments. This reading nook will be used as a way to reward good choices as each school day progresses and, in the end, possibly motivate others to make good choices as well.
