My 6th grade students are smart, curious, and inspiring young people. They are full of energy and excitement, and want to learn as much as they can about science and the world around them. They ask intelligent questions, challenge what they learn in class, and apply concepts to the world around them. My students attend a school on a military base in HI. Therefore the majority of them have parents or guardians that serve in the military. They are tough and resilient kids, as they move around the country and world every three years, and face daily challenges when their parents are frequently deployed abroad.
