At the beginning of our virtual learning adventure, I enjoyed creating engaging videos and content for my art students, featuring step by step instruction using movie making technology. Due to a very old computer, I found myself creating content on my phone which is not very effective for long term use and learning. In addition, during live interaction with my students, my computer was slow and often crashed, causing frustration for us all. Using the Apple movie maker, I will be creating live art lessons for students to follow along with me while at home, plus they will be recorded so those students working after hours will have access. One example would using Movie Maker to demonstrate how to make a stop motion animated movie for an art lesson using found objects at home, such as Legos or fruit and veggies. Having the proper technology to communicate these lessons with my students is paramount to success. This Apple computer will give me the technology needed to create the best virtual online learning experience for my young artists!
