My high school students come from low income families and look forward to using the resources at their school to help them succeed. They have basic reading and writing skills and struggle on a daily basis. Their school district has limited resources. My classroom consists of small group instruction, where they come for extra assistance with their reading and writing. Many times they need to study for Regents exams and proofread and edit their work. More technology would motivate them to do more academically.
