When my thirty students are working in their small groups and practicing their writing, we try to keep the learning fresh and interactive. The dry erase boards and markers will give us the opportunity to work harder and smarter while wasting less paper. These materials, the pocket chart and other organizational items will allow us run our literacy groups for efficiently. My third graders wore our last electric pencil sharpener out by working so hard. The crank pencil sharpener barely performs the bare minimum and takes up so much learning time and focus. This new pencil sharpener will allow us to get back on our grind with fewer distractions and fewer struggles.
With refreshing and engaging book choices, students can get excited about reading! My students come from a very diverse neighborhood and they want to read about kids like them. The addition of these relatable and intriguing books will allow our classroom library to be a place for students to explore familiar but exciting stories.
