My students are from a very poor rural area in Texas. Most of their parents are blue-collar, hardworking people. However, they are also working just to survive most of the time. There is no room for extras in their houses. A lot of the families work just to put food on the table. The children that I have in my classroom are amazing! They are all well-behaved and well-mannered. They work very hard to perform at the level that I ask them to. I expect my students to go above and beyond, and for the most part, they do it. I have never been disappointed by them. With all of that said, I believe my students deserve to have something made available to them that they would otherwise never get to use. These students attend a small school that is also in a rural area, and it is hard to have technology that is interactive.
