I teach at a school where over 85% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. My 26 second graders love to read every chance they get. They really like it when they are able to buddy read with a friend. My principal scheduled me to loop with my students to second grade, and this is not a problem, but I do not have anymore classroom library books on their reading level. I don't want my students to get to the point that they stop reading because they have already read all the books in my classroom library.
