I plan to use the whiteboard and the manipulatives to be able to teach my first graders using visuals in a Zoom lesson. The school is closed and, therefore, I have no access to any of my math manipulatives to teach a math lesson. Now the students are confused with worksheets and a screen that is almost impossible to teach hands-on. This whiteboard with the magnetic accessories will allow me to teach from home an actual math lesson as if I was in the classroom. During COVID 19 it has especially hard for my little first graders to follow along with computer assignments in front of a screen. In the current Zoom lessons, I had to use a Zoom whiteboard which has no manipulatives and it takes aways the "hands-on " aspect of the lesson to model and be able to teach the concept to the little ones. Help me help them. Once virtual school is over, I will be able to take my portable whiteboard to class and do small center group activities. I can also use the board to teach free tutoring lessons via Zoom if distance learning continues or a hybrid model is implemented.
