I teach Kindergarten in a low social economic community. However, it amazes me to have a group of kindergartners who are very enthusiastic about school and learning itself. For many, English is their second language. This can be challenging when implementing the Common Core Curriculum. Because most of my students do not have access to the Internet in their homes, technology is a tool that catches their interests and engages them in learning in a fun and interactive manner.
