My 7th & 8th grade students are a diverse and eclectic bunch, but they are eager to learn. They work hard and have huge goals and aspirations. I see over 200 of students each day and try to make each lesson meaningful to them. However, with antiquated school technology it can be a challenge; whether we're learning about China or the foundation of U.S. democracy I believe the content matters and by making it relevant to them, they are being molded into more capable and aware citizens. I also take a group of 50-80 kids to Washington D.C. each year to learn about our country...it's truly inspiring (and fulfilling) to see these children learn about the world around them!
