I am the ESOL teacher at John Walton School #16 in Rochester, NY. My students come from Nepal, Somalia, Yemen, Thailand, and Puerto Rico. Many of my students and their families came here as refugees and are struggling to have a better life in their new country. As the only ESOL teacher in the building, I work with English language learners in grades K-8. Because I work with students at so many levels, I am constantly in need of leveled readers and multiple copies of quality literature so I can do shared reading and writing lessons. It is my goal to create a classroom library to meet the varying needs of my students. Thank you for your help.
