My students are third graders, average to lower social economic class. The school is located in a state and district that service a lot of students. More students to serve divides the money available to education into a smaller and smaller pot. There is not extra money for supplies. Students this age love working with dry erase boards and markers. It engages them whereas just lecture and textbook do not always hold their attention. Third grade students are the best. They love learning and are excited about school. Third grade is an exciting time because of the new subjects that are taught this year such as multiplication and division.
