These bike locks will allow students to learn while they are at school and not worry about what could be happening to their bike, a bike that is probably not going to be easily replaced. The helmets will allow parents to feel safer knowing their children have the safety equipment they need. These students experience enough struggle already, worrying about your bike being stolen should not be added to their concerns. As students in a very low socio-economic area, many of the basic necessities for life are not provided. As an educator it is difficult to see students struggling to focus on their academics because they are distracted by legitimate, real world concerns.

About my class
