Many students in my classroom come in at the beginning of the year never having held a book, pencil, or even a crayon. Most of them have never heard a nursery rhyme or been to the public library. Many of them have never played with another child outside of their families. My school is a Leader in Me school and we strive to expand the horizons of each student so that when they leave our campus each day, they have learned something new that they can be proud of. I endeavor to inspire my students to set goals they can achieve and be proud of their success.
