We are a school full of engaged, excited and motivated students. Our students are exposed to all sorts of technology at home and well versed with such tools, but not given the opportunity to explore further while at school. We are facing budget cuts which has increased our class sizes while also working to address the CCSS. Our students are responsible for becoming successful non-fiction readers and writers and we do this through researching and investigating given topics. We teach our students effective note taking skills (Cornell notes) and walk them through understanding non-fiction and translating their learning's into a research project.
