My students are independent and know that I have the expectation of them going to college. My students are under privileged and are not able to buy all of their school supplies or have comfortable environments. My students have over come many obstacles, but they have learned this year to have manners, respect for others and themselves, and to set goals for themselves even if they may be hard to achieve. We have built a community of learners that support and encourage each other in the smallest achievement and the biggest achievements. We celebrate all gains and successes in our learning.
