Our school is located in a very diverse neighborhood. This is why we are so passionate about creating a classroom environment that is engaging and diverse to match our student population. Many of our students come with a great deal of baggage. Reading is an avenue to a world unlike their own. We have shown them that it is a way to escape from this world and to explore another. Those that believe are bitten by the reading bug and are hooked. Most of our student will develop a love for reading and will read everything on my shelves. We want to give them resource and novels that inspire and make them think, "Can I do that?" or "I bet that could be me one day."
