Students in my program are getting hands-on experience working with young children in our preschool classrooms. Students are learning how to write lesson plans to use in the preschool classroom. Students will learn how to write lesson plans for each subject area taught in preschool. They will have to write lessons that are engaging and age-appropriate, including inserting content standards, lesson objectives, and ways to assess the preschool children. This project will directly effect students in their future goals of becoming preschool teachers. In order to be successful, students need a lesson planning book to organize and hold their lesson plans. This project will allow me to help my students prepare for their future careers by giving them the tools necessary to create engaging and exciting lessons to use with the preschool children. These lesson planning guides will also allow students to keep their professional materials in one central location, which will allow them to easily take them on job interviews in the future.
