This book will teach my students not only about the Flint Water Crisis but also about what happens when a government does not prioritize the health of it's citizens. I will use this book to lead daily class discussions in which we will learn about what lead does to the human body, why this happened in a city like Flint, and how we can advocate for our health as citizens. Through this book my students will learn about the various inequities within public health and how to fight against these inequities. This book will be part of my Environmental Unit in Public Health where we will discuss how policy can change the quality of our environment.
