At the beginning of the year when I was shown to my classroom, I was excited by the possibilities of making the space a fresh and cozy place for my children to come and learn each day. I was excited by the possibilities that lay ahead for creating a great learning environment! My students love to meet together as a classroom community, whether it be for a class meeting, a mini lesson, or our favorite time of the day - Read Aloud time! Unfortunately, the carpet that we currently have isn't large enough for everyone, and some students have to sit in chairs when the class is invited to work at the rug. They don't ever complain, but I know that they wish we could all be together during these special classroom times. It would mean so much for all of my students to sit together comfortably and safely on a spacious classroom carpet when we learn and share together!
