The materials I have requested are to create a space that is both inviting and comfortable for my students. I want to provide them options of sitting on balls, stools, or comfortably on the ground with a portable adjustable recliner. I also am asking for fidgets (sensory toys) to help students get the wiggles out in a quiet way. My goal is to keep them engaged and ready to learn. My hope is that with these tools I can create a classroom community where students feel encouraged and supported and can ask for what they need to learn best. When students get to have these choices you can see a difference in their focus, excitement, and achievement! I hope getting these seats/tools will make my students feel comfortable and ready to tackle 4th grade.
