Our students live in a high poverty area of Mississippi. A vast majority of our students qualify for free and reduced lunches. Our school has frequently been located in the bottom on our district as far as achievement goes, but throughout the past few years we have made spectacular improvements. Now we are among the best in our district. Our students have been working very hard to make these improvements and now have pride in themselves. They continue to gain self-esteem and improve their social skills.

About my class
