Any opportunity that we can provide for hands-on learning is a big plus for us in the science classroom. Our students absolutely love learning about science through hands-on STEM projects. In this project, the students have the opportunity to explore and learn about electricity by using a variety of objects to build circuits in the classroom. Once students have mastered the design of a simple series circuit, they will be challenged to expand their learning through challenge task cards. At the conclusion of the project, students will have learned and be able to demonstrate that electrical circuits can generate light, sound, and heat. Over the years these types of projects have brought joy and excitement back into the classroom for our students. One of our goals is to continue creating STEM projects in hopes to encourage our students to be lifelong learners.
