Our school is a Title 1 school with a diverse cultural population. The majority of our students are economically disadvantaged. We are located on the edge of a small town with very few enriching activities available to our kids. We have made a commitment to create opportunities for our students. One of these enrichment opportunities is our academic team, the Nerd Herd, and just in case you are wondering, the kids came up with the name! We compete in local and regional quiz bowls. These kids are wonderful. They are fiercely competitive and beg for additional practices. They take this very seriously and would impress you with the depth of knowledge they cultivate.
