I am a second grade teacher at Environmental Sciences Magnet@Mary Hooker. . My proposal is to receive help obtaining a classroom rug so that students have a place to gather for focused instruction. When students are learning from their desks, the students are often disttacted with items in their desk or on their desks. I have found in the past, when the students are gathered in one place without all of the distractions of the items in or on their desks, they are able to then focus on the instruction that is happening.
