My students are eager to learn. My class is a preschool special education classroom and my students have various disabilities. They range in age from three to five. We are at a public elementary in the Bay area. I have two classes; each is a three hour session. I use hands-on lessons and sometimes use sign language to get them to communicate since some of them are non-verbal. An Ipad would be easier for my students to use than a desk top because they lack fine motor skills to use a standard computer. Since my students are so young the best way for me to teach them is to find and make lessons as interactive as I can. While I teach I have to constantly think about how to reach the different types of learner that I have. If I have ipads to use in the classroom it will give me another tool that I can use to reach my students and it will give the students a chance to be exposed to learning through technology.
