My journalism students will use these iPads when they conduct interviews, take photographs, and write and edit their articles for the school newspaper and social media sites. Currently, these students use their personal phones for these activities. We are constantly running into issues with chargers, data consumption and photograph quality. The iPads will eliminate these issues and give my student journalists a more professional means to complete their assignments and put out a quality school paper. Having new iPads will make the students feel like true journalists, and hopefully inspire some of them to pursue journalism as a college major and career choice.
