My 3rd grade students are part of a wonderful learning community at a Public Charter School that celebrates the whole child. Learning is hands-on and project based. We strive to inspire and motivate children to have a natural curiosity and joy for learning. One of students took two weeks to type his writing. He doesn't have a computer at home, so when he finally finished, he was so proud of himself. He actually went to sleep with his published piece. My 3rd graders came up with the idea to find ways to help put more computers into our classroom.
